After 20+ years of playing guitar, changing strings has always been a hassle on my Gretsch with the B5 Bigsby. The ball end of any other string I had would never bend around that roller and stay on the post long enough to get tension on to keep the string on. I was literally at the point of selling the guitar and getting another one that didn’t have that style bridge. I saw the section online about Gretsch guitars on the Blue Magic website and decided to try it with little expectation.
I WAS WRONG.
It was the first time I didn’t want to throw my guitar across the room changing strings, and it took less than 10 minutes to swap out a set. I tuned them up without stretching them and beat them up like a punching bag in a boxing gym and couldn’t get them out of tune. They are brighter in a natural sounding way acoustically and really helped my guitar feel alive. 10 out of 10 would recommend and I can highly stand behind these strings. Definitely grateful for the Blue Magic team on these!
