I’ve been playing for about 40 years, and have used just about every brand of string. Usually I’m changing strings after 2 gigs. But I discovered Blue Magic strings after hearing some friends singing their praise. I bought a few sets to try, and I was an instant fan. They hype is real! They hold tune and tend to last longer than other strings I’ve used.
I live in the South and the humidity here is brutal on strings. Blue Magic strings seem more resistant and last waaaay longer. I have many Bigsby equipped guitars and they work so well with them. Quicker string up, and after a few stretches they hold tune even after agressive vibrato usage. And the sound and feel? WONDERFUL!
I use the Vintage and Nashville Blues. The vintage have that warm tone that I love and the Nashville Blues SING on a Tele.
