I’ve been using a well-known string brand since I began playing in bands over four decades ago. Occasionally I would try the latest trendy brand and invariably be disappointed, returning to my “tried and true” and vowing to never again buy into “string hype.”
So I was beyond skeptical when heard about Blue Magic. I assumed if they had feel, they’d lack tone… or if they had high output, they’d sound fizzy/blurry.
I WAS WRONG ON EVERY COUNT! Not only do they sound great (which honestly is the only real consideration), they hold their tone TWO TO THREE TIMES LONGER, which means they’re actually less expensive than my “cheaper” brand. I’m sold!
