When tuning your guitar (bass, electric or acoustic) always tune UP to the desired pitch from below the pitch. A big factor can be tuner gear lash, which is basically lost motion due to clearance or slackness when movement is reversed and contact is reestablished in the tuner’s gearing. Always tune from flat to pitch NOT sharp to pitch.

Anything can go wrong when playing live. Be prepared for the worst scenario. Cables can go out, a speaker blows, mics can fail etc. Most common is a string breaking. A backup guitar is ideal but you may break a string on that one as well. Always have a few packs of blue magic strings on standby in case this happens, because it will happen.
